YOUTH is the student ministry of Grace and Faith Church. This
department is for Middle and High School students (6th-12th grade). The YOUTH have their own service on Sunday mornings along with events each month. It’s a place for you teens to make friends, and most importantly grow in their relationship with Jesus.
After praise and worship in the main service, the students head to the YOUTH room next door. Here we have games, activities, snacks, and of course a lesson. Our goal is to make the bible real to every student and show them HOW it relates to their everyday life. We do our lesson followed by group discussion. Because we are working with students in middle and high school, what can for some be sensitive topics often come up, because they are surrounded by it everyday. Topics of sex, drugs, depression/suicide, relationships, world events, and others can be a norm. Our team is trained to answer those questions with love and with the truth found in the Bible.
After the lesson the students have free time in the gym.
All leadership, teachers, volunteers, and any adult who will be
interacting with students has been background checked through a National Database and approved by the Pastoral team.
Our YOUTH events are often a highlight for the students! We do something different each month. Some events off campus and some on. Students are encouraged to invite their friends to any of our events. For EVERY event the parent/guardian must sign the student up online and fill out the release form. Once a year the parents will also need to fill out our medical form for safety reasons. All events are monitored by the YOUTH team.
The heart of the team is to see a generation of teens passionately in love with Jesus! Going out of their way to share the Gospel with everyone they know. We want to see a generation so on fire for God that revival is their normal way of life. Teens who aren’t afraid to stand on the truth of the bible. Teens who understand the authority they have in Jesus’ name. We want to create an environment where the YOUTH are excited to come and feel safe to ask the difficult questions they have, so we can lead them to the truth in the bible. We want to make a difference in your student’s and their friends lives in the natural and spiritual. We understand this takes trust, time, and prayer. Because of that the YOUTH team is dedicated to praying for your students on a normal basis. The team prioritizes getting around each student and meeting them on their level. We also understand the majority of their discipleship takes place at home, so we are here to help and encourage parents in any way we can as they navigate the teen years. To sum it all up, we are passionate about ministering to your students and leading them closer to Jesus!
Q: Where does my student go during service?
A: All students are brought next door to the YOUTH center in the back of suite C.
Q: Where can I find my student after service?
A: All students are brought to the church foyer after service.
Q: What age/grade is YOUTH for?
A: We go by a public school grade level of the student 6th-12th grade. If your student is ahead academically, and is younger than 11 they would attend Kidz until the school year AFTER they turn 11.
Q: How can I stay up-to-date on what is taking place in the YOUTH?
A: A weekly email is sent out to parents explaining what was taught that previous Sunday, what to expect the next Sunday, along with event details, and more!
